A photo in a court document shows the Southwest Capitol Highway pothole that Gillian Conroy is believed to have run over in April 2022, leading to a seven-figure settlement this spring.

A Portland woman who drove over a pothole — slamming her head into the ceiling of her car — has secured what appears to be the largest settlement in city history related to injuries sustained from uneven pavement on nearly 5,000 miles of municipal streets.
