Description

I had the opportunity to ride in a small plane over an Alaskan wilderness. I saw spectacular beauty above glaciers and, as the plane flew at a lower altitude, I saw a moose drinking from a pristine lake. I can understand why the indigenous Gwich’in people call the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge “the sacred place where life begins.” Let it not be a place where life soon ends because of oil drilling.
