Last night Club staff, along with current and former gymnasts and coaches, celebrated longtime Gymnastics Director Roy Lans as he heads into retirement. After 46 years of dedication to the sport, today marks Roy’s last day as the full-time Director and Coach. Roy started coaching gymnastics in 1979 and joined the Club in 2000 when Gymnastics Plus became a Boys & Girls Club program. Throughout his career he has coached several state champions and many top ten placers at Regionals. Over the years, Roy has made a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of young people, and he will be missed dearly. Happy fishing Roy!Photos from Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon's post
