Anna Singley taught herself calculus when she was 11 or 12. Now she wants to use advanced applied mathematics to help keep humans healthier.

Anna Singley grew up in part on her grandfather’s corn and soybean farm in rural Illinois, and she knew from a young age how to do hard physical work.
