At 2:33 a.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service issued a freezing fog advisory in effect until noon for Central Douglas County and Eastern Curry County and Josephine County as well as Jackson County.
"Visibility one quarter mile or less in freezing fog," can be expected according to the weather service. "A strong area of high pressure will build in through Saturday, then weaken slightly on Sunday. This will lead to poor mixing of the atmosphere and the trapping of pollutants. The high is likely to strengthen again early next week."
