Just under 600 first-grade children will participate in this year's Gift of Literacy hosted by Rotary. Children from area schools will converge on the SWOCC campus April 24th. They'll get their own book & bag of goodies to take home and will hear from Miss Coos County and the Youth Theatre Group. But, best of all, area leaders from fire and police departments, libraries, non-profit organizations, cities, and Rotary clubs will read a story. The program is so successful at touching the lives of children, but also those of our volunteers. Enjoy this video thoughtfully produced by Anne Matthews from Southwestern Oregon Community College, our great partner, along with other businesses and Rotary Clubs, putting on the Gift of Literacy. Thank you for your support of Rotary and the Gift of Literacy.Watch video on Facebook.com
