Join us Thursday, December 12th, to learn more about the revitalization plans for Airport Heights Park in North Bend. The Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club along with the consultant, Groundworkshop, will reveal the final master plan draft developed from community input. Rotary and the Coos County Airport District have a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a master plan in order to revitalize the 13-acre Airport Heights Park. Rotary has held multiple meetings including two with the community and hired a consulting firm out of Portland to develop a park master plan. That design will be unveiled on Thursday. The community is welcome to drop in between 6pm and 8pm to see the final plan and have a final discussion with the consultant before it is presented to the CCAD Board of Commissioners in February. The meeting takes place at the North Bend Senior and Activity Center, located at 1470 Airport Lane, North Bend OR 97459 from 6pm - 8pm, Thursday December 12, 2024.

Lane County Sheriff’s deputies assigned to patrol enter the Field Training and Evaluation Process (FTEP). They also attend Basic Police Academy at the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training.   
  
Deputy Hearn reassigned to Patrol after graduating from the Corrections Academy and working in the Lane County Jail for several years. She brings a wealth of experience from interacting with adults in custody at the jail. Deputy Hearn enjoys getting out into the community and serving in the unique way patrol allows, especially helping people on their worst days.
