JOHN TOPITS PARK ACKERMAN STREET ENTRANCE TO REMAIN PERMANENTLY CLOSED TO MOTOR VEHICLES  
  
The City of Coos Bay is announcing that the John Topits Park entrance located off Ackerman Street will remain permanently closed to motor vehicle traffic.  
  
The entrance will continue to be available for pedestrian foot access only. Motor vehicles, including passenger vehicles, trucks, and other motorized equipment, will not be permitted to enter the park through the Ackerman Street entrance.  
  
Visitors accessing John Topits Park by vehicle should use the designated park access points and parking areas off Hull Street.   
  
The city appreciates the public’s cooperation in observing this permanent closure and helping maintain safe and accessible recreational opportunities within John Topits Park.
