Description
The Westview Wildcats jumped out to an early double-digit lead and never let defending state runner-up Roosevelt get its footing in an 83-71 victory in the second round of the Class 6A boys playoffs on Saturday.
The game had tremendous intensity from the tip, with a large contingent of yellow-clad Roosevelt fans who made the trip west from north Portland making enough noise to almost give the feel of a neutral site. The Wildcats gave the home fans the most to cheer for, though, building a 23-11 lead through eight minutes and not looking back.
