Some states are scaling back their data center incentives as the facilities contribute to increasing electric bills and raise environmental concerns. Washington isn't going that route this year.

Big technology companies scored a win in Olympia on Monday, as a sweeping bill to regulate data centers lapsed in the Washington state Legislature.
