A special weather statement was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 1:25 p.m. until 4 p.m. for North Central Oregon.
"Southwest winds of 25 to 35 mph accompanied by gusts of 35 to 50 mph have been observed along US 97 in north-central Oregon this afternoon. Motorists should be prepared for cross winds, and travel may be difficult for high-profile vehicles," adds the weather service.
