Marion County, Ore. 15 April 2025- On Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 3:35 p.m., Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 22E, near milepost 49, in Marion County. The preliminary investigation indicated an eastbound Ford F-150, operated by Kasey John Fox (40) of Troutdale, was reporteldy travelling at a high rate of speed when it crossed the center line and contacted the westbound guardrail. The Ford crossed back into the eastbound lane, left the eastbound shoulder, and struck several trees. The vehicle came to rest approximately 50 feet from the roadway. The operator of the Ford (Fox) was declared deceased at the scene. The highway was impacted for approximately six hours during the on-scene investigation. The primary cause of the crash is considered to be speed. OSP was assisted by ODOT.
