HPD WELCOMES NEW VOLUNTEER ADVOCATES | We are excited to welcome the newest members of our Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT). This group of volunteer advocates graduated from a 40 hour advocacy certification course and are ready to respond to calls. Volunteer advocates respond on-scene with police officers to provide trauma-informed support to people experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence, and stalking.
Congratulations advocates, and thank you for volunteering to help our community!
Our next application process will start in April and classes will be held in September. For more information about DVRT: https://tinyurl.com/DVRT-Info
