At 9:19 a.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service released a high wind watch valid from Saturday 10 p.m. until Sunday 10 p.m. for Grande Ronde Valley.

The weather service describes, "South winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible."
