On Wednesday at 7:29 p.m. a high wind warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Thursday at 2 a.m. for Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.
"South winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph," can be expected according to the weather service. "The strongest wind gusts between 55 to 60 mph are expected along the base and slopes of the Northern Blue Mountains, with 45 to 55 mph wind gusts expected across the rest of the northern Blue Mountain foothills."
