Description

Six officials with ties to Washington County's sewer agency attended the Hawaii Captive Insurance Council forum on the Big Island in 2023, at a cost of nearly $42,000. All six stayed at the Fairmont Orchid, a 5-star hotel that features a 10,000-square-foot oceanfront pool overlooking Pauoa Bay.

At least eight people with ties to Washington County’s sewer agency have traveled to Hawaii for business conferences in recent years, staying at an assortment of five-star resorts across several islands offering breathtaking views of the beach and ocean.
