Here’s a look behind the scenes from the rooftop arrest on SE TV Hwy that occured on January 15th. By the time this footage was captured, officers had already located the second suspect hiding inside a rooftop air conditioning unit. Hillsboro Fire arrived with a ladder truck to help safely bring him down. Police officers stayed in position during the descent to ensure everyone’s safety. The suspect, Edgar Agustin Perez, 37, was wanted for a parole violation tied to a prior sexual assault. He was arrested without incident and charged with criminal trespass and failure to register as a sex offender. This was the final phase of a coordinated response that began when a community member noticed open doors and called police instead of stepping in.
