Jeff Chow, owner-operator of Portland’s longstanding Mama Chow’s Kitchen food cart, was hiking with friends in the Columbia River Gorge on Tuesday when he slipped off the trail near Wahclella Falls — and suddenly he was falling, headfirst onto a rock just above a river over 10 feet below.
