FATAL CAR ACCIDENT | On July 14, around 11:23 pm, officers responded to a severe crash at E Main and NE Cornelius Pass Road. One vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, resulting in the driver’s tragic death. Two other vehicles were involved, with the drivers treated and released from the hospital. The Washington County Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Team (CART), a multi-agency team of specially trained deputies and officers, is handling the investigation. CART members also partner with the Major Crimes Team and receive extensive training in crash investigation and crime scene analysis.
