BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center announces its clinical and non-clinical Employees of the Month for September 2025.

Employees of the Month are nominated by their peers and voted on via an anonymous poll. Awardees receive points on the hospital’s AwardCo platform, which they can redeem for merchandise or gift cards, and also receive a designated parking spot for the month.

CLINICAL

Ashley Stadden, RN, Emergency Department

“I LOVE working with Ashley,” her nomination stated. “If I walk into the building and see her smiling face, I know it will be a good day. She is always available to help out each and every employee, from CNAs, RNs, housekeeping, and medical imaging. If you need help, Ashley is there. She goes above and beyond when she helps patients. Instead of just bringing/helping a patient to the commode, I’ve seen her expertly perform a full bed bath, hair wash, oral care, and clothes change in under 10 minutes. Ashley knows what she’s doing. You need someone to pass your meds while you sort out a tricky situation? She is there. You need someone to help you sort out a tricky situation? She is there. You need someone to give you advice? She is there. You don’t even have to ask; she is just there, always lending a helping hand, always happy to be there for you. I wish I could work with her every shift. I wish everyone could experience the force that is Ashley.”

NON-CLINICAL

Rachel Maddux, RN, BSN – Quality Nurse Specialist, Quality, Risk & Compliance Department

“I would like to nominate Rachel Maddux for Employee of the Month,” her nomination stated. “She consistently goes above and beyond in her role and demonstrates an exceptional commitment to patient care, safety, and staff support. Rachel is a true team player — always willing to step in, collaborate, and share her expertise to help colleagues succeed. Her proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and dedication to maintaining high standards makes a significant difference in our daily operations. She leads by example, ensuring that quality initiatives are not just met but exceeded, and she does so with professionalism, positivity, and grace. Rachel’s contributions not only improve outcomes but also strengthen our team culture. For these reasons, I believe Rachel exemplifies the values of our organization and is highly deserving of recognition as Employee of the Month.”
