Early this morning around 7:30 a.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at NE Evergreen Parkway and NE Century Blvd. The investigation showed one driver fell asleep at the wheel and drifted out of their lane, striking a speed radar trailer. The impact caused the vehicle to spin into oncoming traffic, leading to a secondary collision. Thankfully, there were no major injuries. One driver was transported to a local hospital as a precaution and is expected to be okay. Both vehicles and the damaged trailer were towed from the scene. This is a strong reminder that fatigue can be just as dangerous as impairment. If you are feeling drowsy, please pull over and rest. A quick break can prevent a serious crash.
