DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER ELUDING OFFICER | On Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10:30 PM, a HPD officer attempted to stop a Toyota Camry for expired registration. The Camry initially pulled over before speeding away from the stop. The officer did not pursue the Camry out of an abundance of caution for public safety. The officer was able to locate a Beaverton address for the Camry and shortly after 11PM, Beaverton Police officers located the Camry and the driver. Benjamin Jerome Robert-Muter (21) of Portland was arrested without incident and was booked into the Washington County Jail on charges including Attempting to Elude (Felony), Forgery in the second degree, Criminal Driving while Suspended and Distribution of a Controlled Substance.
