Description

How can anyone quickly and accurately summarize everything our Rotary district does across 50,000 square miles through more than 3,000 members from 60+ clubs, from local service and scholarships to international polio vaccinations?
District Governor Nelson Maler rose to the challenge on a recent early-morning news segment for KOBI/NBC5 News in Medford, Oregon, when newscaster Natalie Sirna interviewed him.
Your 2024-2025 DG shared our global passion for service and highlighted local success in the Grants Pass area specifically — local clubs built two beautiful local parks, raised money for all-weather tracks at four public high schools, and continue to provide thousands of dollars in scholarships.
DG Nelson also promoted this year’s District Conference, May 16-18. In addition to celebrating this year’s success with old friends and charting new territory with new friends, the 2025 conference also includes a scenic wine tour, a golf tournament, a barbecue/social hour, and live music from the Brothers Reed. And he extended a warm welcome to anyone who might be curious about Rotary, especially those who are looking for ways to give back to their communities and beyond. He encouraged people to explore the opportunities Rotary gives people to make a difference and leave their own legacy of service.

If you haven’t already registered for DisCon 2025, you can still RSVP on DACdb for fun and fellowship.
