Crabfest, Awards, and Fresh Energy: Greater Albany Rotary on the Move
District Governor Chris Waugh enjoyed a full weekend with the Greater Albany Rotary Club, attending their 25th Annual Crabfest fundraiser on Saturday, February 7th, followed by their club meeting on Monday, February 9th.
Crabfest 2025 was a massive success—800 tickets sold, mountains of fresh crab consumed, and a smart partnership with United Way to share the workload and amplify the impact. A quarter-century of this tradition speaks for itself!
At their Monday meeting (now held at the cozier Loafers Station), President Greg Roe welcomed Governor Waugh to present several awards, including honoring Joe Vincent as "Most Passionate Rotarian."
Greater Albany is fortunate to count multiple past and present District Leaders among their active membership. Under President Greg's leadership, the club feels newly energized—they've revitalized their weekly newsletter (featuring none other than Yoda, the District Dog 🐾) and are building momentum in their new meeting space.
The visit wrapped up with a casual dinner with club leaders—because Rotarians know how to mix service with fellowship.
