Corvallis Rotary: Service in Focus, from Ukraine to the Golf Course View District Governor Chris Waugh visited the Corvallis Rotary Club on Thursday, February 12th, meeting at the Corvallis Club with its beautiful golf course views. The club keeps its "why" front and center—tables featured upcoming program schedules and flyers highlighting their many service projects. Several members received well-deserved recognition: Joyce Maitland earned a Wings of Service award as Club Meeting and Fellowship Champion. Beyond her club service, Joyce is the friendly voice you may hear when calling the District with DACdb questions. Word has it she even got DGE Bruce Allen his own badge because he visits so regularly! Terri Homer, another rock star, was missed but will receive her award soon. Rob Thurston stepped in for Ken Trueba and immediately had the honor of accepting an RI award for the club's PolioPlus contributions last year. Rob is also active in grant writing—his most recent application? "Remote Learning for Reintegrating Ukraine Veterans into the Work Force." Watch for this amazing project in an upcoming Zones 26 & 27 Rotary news publication! #Rotary #CorvallisRotary #ServiceAboveSelf #PolioPlus #UkraineVeterans #RotaryGrants #Zone2627 #District5110Photos from Rotary District 5110's post
