Congratulations to our newest graduates from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards & Training (DPSST) Basic Police Academy!
Deputy Giles and Deputy Newton graduated from Basic Police Class 456 today after 16 weeks of training. Both served on the color guard while attending. Deputy Giles also earned the Lee M. Bown Award for excellence in academics.
Both deputies served at the jail and on transport prior to this additional training.
From here, they will continue field training on patrol for several more months.
We look forward to your continued service to our community out on the road and beyond!
