Congratulations to Deputy Burgess for recently completing Patrol training!
Lane County Sheriff’s deputies assigned to Patrol must complete the Field Training and Evaluation Process (FTEP). They also attend Basic Police Academy at the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training.
Deputy Burgess has been with the Sheriff's Office for over three years and reassigned to Patrol after working in the Lane County Jail. Deputy Burgess grew up in Lane County and was interested in law enforcement from a young age. His desire to make a difference in his community led him to apply with the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
