CONGRATULATIONS DISPATCH SUPERVISOR MCGARITY  
  
On January 3, 2025, Kristen McGarity assumed her role as the newest Dispatch Supervisor for the Coos Bay Police Department / North Coos 9-1-1 Center. Over the course of the last two months, McGarity had gone through a rigorous promotional process against extremely qualified competition but ultimately rose to the top of the process.   
  
During her time at the Department, McGarity has served in numerous roles, to include Dispatcher, Dispatch Training Officer, Tactical Dispatcher, Public Information Officer, and Social Media Coordinator.   
  
McGarity has an associate’s degree from Southwestern Oregon Community College. She holds her Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Telecommunicator certificates as well as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification through the Oregon Department of Public Safety, Standards and Training.
