CONGRATULATIONS DANIEL MAZZUCCHI On January 13, Chief Chapanar swore in Daniel Mazzucchi as Coos Bay Police Department’s (CBPD) newest Reserve Police Officer. Mazzucchi, a North Bend High School graduate, started his path towards becoming a reserve officer in the summer of 2024. Mazzucchi attended and completed the Reserve Officer Training Academy (ROTA). ROTA is a requirement for all Reserve Police Officers as it gives a basic level of knowledge in policing and criminal justice. This entry training is further supplemented by agency level training prior to a Reserve Officer hitting the streets. Mazzucchi has dedicated numerous volunteer hours towards this goal. We are very thankful for his time and dedication and would like to congratulate him on his accomplishment. Mazzucchi would like to continue his path in law enforcement, someday hoping to attain a Police Officer position.
