Portland is under a strong ridge of high pressure that should keep rain at bay through at least Jan. 20.

A mountain climber who died after a 300-foot fall on Mount Hood Sunday has been identified as a 30-year-old man from Portland.

❄ There is even MORE snow in the mountains! ❄ On Saturday evening, Lane County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue volunteers responded to assist two hikers who became lost in the area of Salt Creek Falls off of Highway 58 and were not prepared to be out overnight. They were located and guided back to their vehicle.
