Description

Commissioner Melissa Fireside attended Thursday's meeting — her second since being sworn in last week — by phone. She informed county officials in advance that she would not be there in person and gave no explanation, according to a county spokesperson.

Commissioner Melissa Fireside’s decision not to attend Thursday’s Board of Commissioner meeting in person drew criticism from one of her colleagues on the board while two others cautioned a rush to judgment and one didn’t directly address Fireside’s legal troubles.
