NBHS Athletic Dept. release - North Bend High School is proud to announce Cameron Lucero (class of 2015) as its new Head Varsity Boys' Basketball Coach.  One of the most decorated athletes in NBHS history and former Bryant Cup winner, Cameron was named class 4A state player of the year in basketball while leading the team to their highest finish ever, 3rd place.  In football, Cameron was named 1st team all state at both quarterback and defensive back and led teams to a second place finish in 2012 and 2014.  He was also a state champion and school record holder in the 4x100 relay and 2nd in the 110 hurdles.  Upon graduation, Cameron played basketball at SWOCC for two seasons and has been a lead assistant over the past 4 years in the SWOCC program that finished in the top 8 in 2025-2026 and was second in the NWACC for the 2023-2024 season.  Cameron's main responsibility in his time with SWOCC was leading the defensive side of the ball.  In the interview process, this was an area where Coach Lucero felt his program will be very strong and will develop to be a core foundation for success.  We are excited to welcome back one of our own into the fold and to see where Coach Lucero can lead the Bulldogs basketball program in the future!
