Description
Cadets and reserve officers from Hillsboro, Gladstone, Washington County, and Yamhill County recently came together for a powerful day of multi-agency training.
They worked alongside the Metropolitan Explosive Disposal Unit, learning how to recognize potentially dangerous homemade explosives and understanding when and how to call in expert support.
ROVT teams introduced cadets to drone and robot technologies used to keep officers safe - whether that’s searching for a dangerous person or helping locate someone who’s lost or missing.
And of course, no training is complete without our K9 units, who showed how their unique skills support tracking, safety, and scene control in real time.
Each scenario helped build the foundation for a future in law enforcement grounded in safety, service, and strong partnerships.
