ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Like an artery connected to the beating heart that is Michigan Stadium, Main Street in Ann Arbor is lined with trendy restaurants and classic bars. Amid falling leaves, students in Halloween costumes filter in and out of thumping nightclubs on its side streets, while alumni pack into their old haunts as the air begins to chill.
