At 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a beach hazards statement valid from Thursday 9 p.m. until Friday noon for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.
"Moderate risk of sneaker waves expected," explains the weather service. "High tide on Friday morning may cause additional risks."
