Description
At the February 9 City Council meeting the City of Tualatin officially proclaimed February 21, 2026, as Vietnamese Lunar New Year Celebration Day.
For 50 years, the Vietnamese Community of Oregon (VNCO) has proudly organized Lunar New Year celebrations in Tualatin and neighboring cities — honoring a tradition rooted in joy, history, and culture.
VNCO’s mission is to unite, support, and foster pride within the Vietnamese community while ensuring Vietnamese-Americans know they have a voice and a valued place in society. Through preserving cultural traditions and building strong relationships with other communities across Oregon and Southwest Washington, VNCO continues to strengthen the fabric of our region.
The Lunar New Year is the most important celebration in Vietnamese culture — a time to gather, reflect, and look ahead with hope.
We invite our community to join our Vietnamese neighbors in celebrating this vibrant and meaningful tradition. View the full proclamation here: https://mccmeetings.blob.core.usgovcloudapi.net/tualtnor-pubu/MEET-Packet-c3f4d8cf6a1d456196726d658efb79db.pdf
