The new members of the PPS school board were sworn in Tuesday afternoon on the grounds of Grant High School. From left, they are Rashelle Chase-Miller, Stephanie Engelsman, Virginia La Forte and Christy Splitt.

Four newly elected members of the Portland Public Schools board were sworn in this week, kicking off a pivotal year for Oregon’s largest school district.
