Description

Union members pack a school board meeting at the Reynolds School District this week. The district is facing the potential of disruptive midyear layoffs because of a $5.5 million budget gap.

In a bid to potentially prevent disruptive mid-year layoffs, negotiators for the unions representing teachers and support staff at the Reynolds School District on Thursday proposed lopping off the last two days of the school year to save an estimated $1.1 million.
