ARBOR DAY PROCLAMATION
Arbor Day is a cherished tradition that began in 1872 with the simple yet powerful idea of setting aside a day for planting trees. Since then, it has grown into a global celebration of trees and their many contributions to our environment and communities. The City of Coos Bay, proudly designated a Tree City USA since 1994, continues to honor this legacy. Mayor Joe Benetti has officially proclaimed the last Friday in April as Arbor Day in Coos Bay, encouraging all residents to support tree planting and care efforts. Let’s join together to beautify our city, support wildlife, and invest in a greener, healthier future.
