OSU release - CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State outfielder Gavin Turley is a Second-Team All-American per D1Baseball.com, while shortstop Aiva Arquette and right-handed pitcher Dax Whitney are third-team selections. The media organization announced its three All-America teams on Thursday.  Turley's honor is his fifth of 2025. He was also selected as a first-teamer by the College Baseball Foundation and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), and a second-teamer by both Baseball America and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).  Arquette's honor is his fourth of the year. He's also a second-team honoree by Baseball America and Perfect Game and a third-teamer by the NCBWA.  Whitney, meanwhile, is an All-American for the first time, becoming the sixth Beaver to earn such an honor this year. That's one shy of the 2018 Beavers for the most in a single-season. Whitney is also a three-time Freshman All-American by Perfect Game, Baseball America and the NCBWA.  Turley finished the 2025 season with a .351 batting average with 13 doubles, 20 home runs and 69 runs batted in. His 20 home runs marked just the third time in OSU history a Beaver reached that plateau, following Travis Bazzana's 28 in 2024 and Jim Wilson's 21 in 1982. Turley reached base safely in 64 of the team's 65 games, and did so in 59 consecutive to end the season.  Arquette finished the 2025 season with a team-best .354 batting average, while also pacing the team with 90 hits and 17 doubles. He was second on the club with 19 home runs and 66 runs batted in while posting a .654 slugging percentage and .461 on-base percentage. Arquette was 7-for-8 in stolen-base attempts while finishing with a .974 fielding percentage.  Whitney's 120 strikeouts in 2025 stand as the eighth-most by a Beaver. It's the most ever by an Oregon State freshman. He finished the season with a 6-3 record and 3.40 earned run average, holding opponents to a .216 batting average. The Blackfoot, Idaho native allowed just six earned runs in his last six starts, covering 32 innings. He tallied 55 strikeouts over that stretch while holding opponents to 19 hits and 13 walks.
