Albany Rotary: Small Club, Big Impact, Bright Future

District Governor Chris Waugh visited the Albany Rotary Club on Tuesday, February 10th, and found a 30-member club packed with energy and star power.

President Ed Bock leads a club with an exciting influx of newer, younger members fresh from attending Rotary Leadership Institute in Corvallis. They returned enthused about the training, connections, and bigger Rotary picture—a great sign for the future! ⚡

The meeting itself offered a simple but powerful practice: President Ed's announcements included not just Rotary events but the full calendar of community happenings, making members feel connected to the larger Albany community.

A highlight was catching up with longtime friend PDG David Bussard (DG 1988-89!). An active volunteer, regular RI Convention attendee, Foundation Benefactor, Major Donor Level 2, and Bequest Society Level 1, PDG David embodies Rotary's legacy—and has the stories to prove it.

Governor Waugh stayed for the board meeting afterward and offers this recommendation to all Rotarians: Attend a board meeting at your club. It reveals your club's priorities, decisions, and dynamics like nothing else.
