Deputies locate kidnap victim, arrest suspect near Veneta   
  
On August 2nd at about 5:30 a.m., Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a kidnapping in the 24800 block of McCutcheon Road, Veneta. Deputies learned Kristian Anthony Villa, 48, of Veneta, assaulted a person known to him, forced them into his vehicle, and left the location.    
  
Deputies quickly located the involved vehicle on Territorial Road and initiated a traffic stop. The victim was still in the vehicle along with Villa, who was detained. After additional investigation, Villa was arrested lodged at the Lane County Jail on the following charges:   
 - Kidnapping in the 1st Degree   
 - Assault in the 4th Degree   
 - Menacing   
 - Coercion
