Lane County Sheriff’s detectives arrest Eugene man during Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation   
  
On January 29th at about 10 a.m., Lane County Sheriff’s detectives contacted a suspect in an ongoing investigation in the area of Commons Drive and Kinsrow Avenue.    
  
The suspect, Seth Nishimatsu Smith, 30, of Eugene, was arrested and lodged at the Lane County Jail on 10 counts of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the 1st Degree and 10 counts of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the 2nd Degree.   
  
This arrest stemmed from an investigation by the Lane County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, focusing on child exploitation.   
  
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office received assistance during this investigation from the Lane County District Attorney’s Office and Springfield Police Department.
