The metal shop at Ida B. Wells High School, which will not be a part of the new building when it opens in 2029.

When Alexander Lamont, a junior at Ida B. Wells High School, learned plans for the new, $450 million incarnation of his school in Southwest Portland school did not include a metal shop, he was determined to try to find a solution.
