The Rays had Game 2 under control after the first inning. They scored four runs off rookie Logan Henderson in the top of the first, and they had Drew Rasmussen, who had been nearly unbeatable since the All-Star break, on the mound. It fell apart from there. Milwaukee answered with two runs in the bottom of the first, starting with a William Contreras foul pop that Jonathan Aranda couldn’t hold. Aranda then let a David Hamilton grounder through his legs in the fourth, which brought in another run. Rasmussen couldn’t finish the fourth inning, and Sal Frelick tied it with a solo home run in the sixth. Milwaukee went ahead later and held on 5-4 when Yandy Díaz struck out with the tying run on third to end it. “I felt like I was falling behind far too often,” Rasmussen said.
