On Wednesday at 1:57 p.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Thursday 4 p.m. until Friday 1 p.m. for Ochoco-John Day Highlands.

The weather service adds to prepare for, "Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches."
