On Thursday at 12:46 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until Friday at 10 a.m. for South Central Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades.

The weather service states, "Total snow accumulations between 12 to 20 inches, with up to 30 inches near Crater Lake and Mount Shasta Ski area. Winds gusting as high as 70 mph."
