On Monday at 11:50 p.m. a winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid from Wednesday 1 p.m. until Thursday 10 a.m. for Jackson County.

The weather service adds, "Snow expected above 2000 feet in Jackson County. Total snow accumulations up to 6 inches. Snow levels will begin Wednesday afternoon at around 3000 feet, but fall to 2000 feet early in the evening, and are forecast to briefly fall as low as 1800 feet early Thursday morning."
