On Wednesday at 1:59 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch in effect until Saturday at 5 p.m. for East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades.
"Heavy snow possible; total snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches possible above 4000 feet and 2 to 4 inches below 4000 feet," comments the weather service. "Winds may gust as high as 45 mph over exposed terrain."
