On Saturday at 3:41 a.m. a winter storm watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Sunday 4 a.m. until Monday 10 a.m. for East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades.

The weather service says to expect, "Heavy snow possible Above 4000 Feet. Total snow accumulations up to 11 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph."
